7But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. 10I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death. Philippians 3:7-10 Spencer is involved with Compassion as an Advocate, promoting the work they do to help children around the world. How does Compassion work???? Compassion sponsorship is an expression of God's love to a child. Firstly, as a distinctively Christian organization, based on the Word of God, Compassion connects caring sponsors, willing to provide assistance on a one-to-one basis with children in need. Secondly, God's love is demonstrated through working in partnership with the local church in developing countries to release children from spiritual, economic, social, physical and emotional poverty. By partnering with the local church, Compassion's projects utilize God's ordained instrument to evangelize communities, and equip church leaders and members to be more effective in ministering and advocating for children. In all projects, Compassion encourages the parents or guardians to actively participate with their children by becoming involved in various programs and workshops.
Advocate: one who defends or speaks out in support of others.

I thought about having some information here on some good friends of mine that are involved in Ministry in a different way, That you may be able to pray for them as they do the work of the Lord. Jonathan Dillon My role with MAF is as Manager of Marthakal Yolngu Airline.... I am responsible for the control and operations of two bases in Arnhem Land where we have aircraft and MAF families. Marthakal Yolngu Airline is aboriginal owned but managed by MAF as they are specialist in the aviation field and have been working alongside Yolngu people in Elcho Island etc for many years before the handover of this airline to Indigienous ownership. As the manager I have to control bookings of four charter aircraft, train and work alongside yolngu staff in our office at the airport, manage and oversee the turnarounds of the Regualar Flight that comes in from Darwin to the community(another company we act as agents for them at Elcho Island), liase with accounts teams in cairns MAF office and other managers in Gove head office on issues of aircraft maintance, staff movements and holidays and irregualr situations. I am responsible for pilot rostering, stock control, ordering and quality control of all fuel used in our aircrafts. Minor IT work and most of all talk with yolngu and white Australians throughout the day in english and Yolngu Matha on variety of issues or requests. Outside of work... Assist in the service on Sunday through playing guitar House visiting and ffellowship with the Yolngu believers Prayer and bible studies with the Yolngu Men Assist in trips to homelands by planes to hold church services with homeland believers
Where communities are isolated because no adequate roads or lines of communication exist, or because these are lost through war, catastrophe, banditry or general breakdown of a country's infrastructure, MAF is often a community's only link with the outside world, providing people with access to the essentials of life. MAF flights provide a lifeline for such communities when there is a medical emergency but also for the regular transport of health workers and medical supplies, teachers, pastors, Bible translators and students, and relief and development workers. MAF's services are also used for transporting produce from communities to market and bringing in trade goods to many places, like Papua New Guinea. MAF operates 140 aircraft in 31 countries with around 1000 staff throughout Africa, South and Central America, Asia and the Pacific and using resources from MAF Canada, MAF USA, MAF South Africa, MAF Europe and MAF Australia. Every three minutes an MAF plane takes off somewhere in the world to serve isolated people. Personal
Testimony When God showed me the door towards serving with MAF I had been reading a book, which asks “What is our purpose in life” Many people will end up facing this question throughout life at least once and wrestle with this issue. The ultimate truth is that there is only one answer and that is God… life finds purpose in God. I have been a disciple of Jesus since
about 13 years old and have learnt that the best way to live life is to be
obedient to Gods will and to follow His commands, in light of the salvation I
have from sin through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. King David wrote in Psalms
40:8 “I desire to do your will oh God and desire to know your words
upon my heart” This is my prayer and why I believe God has called me to serve with MAF in Arnhem Land. Indigenous People of Australia are still not considered equal as white Australians and their lives are in bondage, to fear, death is always around, young, old, dying, all because of a lack of purpose and reason to live. The spiritual healing of God is what can change this situation and why MAF is in Arnhem Land.By Jonathan Dillon
